Effective the first week of 2023, Shopify management cancelled all recurring meetings of two or more attendees and notified staff to decline invitations. All meetings are banned on Wednesdays and if a meeting of 50+ is being held it, must be a Thursday.

Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke emailed, “It’s much easier to add things than to remove things. If you say yes to a thing, you actually say no to every other thing.”
